Storage

Plan ahead to manage equipment, supplies and clutter. What will be the quantity of:

• Laptops
• Towers
• Keyboards
• Monitors
• Printers/Scanners
• Shredders
• Video Cameras 
• Undercounter Refrigerator

What will be wired, what will be wireless? Do you need to store books, files, printer paper, supplies or salesman samples? Do you want open or closed storage?

Lighting

In addition to natural light that your space receives, layer in three more types of light: Ambient, Task and Accent.

Better Connections

If your home office is on the other end of the house or on a different floor, use a Wi-Fi extender or an additional router.

Get adequate bandwidth if, while you are working, other family members will be working from home, streaming movies or playing video games.
